Arrived in Beijing after a 12 hour flight. Such an odd feeling to follow the earth and have light for such an extended time. It's a science thing! Several international flights arrived at the same time, so it was pretty slow through customs and immigration.
We connected with the entire delegation and traveled to our hotel by bus. The traffic was pretty unbelievable. Our guide siaid there are 4 million cars in Beijing and that Chinese have a nickname for drivers in China - "organ donors" Suffice it to say I would not be interested in driving around here.
Hey followers - looks like I'm going to be mediating the Chinese government and posting my mom's blog posts for her. They have blocked blogs, facebook, twitter, etc. following the award of the Nobel Peace Prize to Liu Xiaobo.
